December is the time to prepare your 2023 housing allowance and present it to your church for signature. Use your Pastor's House Account to prepare your allowance. Remember, an increase in the allowance is NOT an increase in your total budget amount.  It is just a decrease in the amount classified as salary. Here again, be an active participant in your compensation planning. The income tax savings is well worth it.  You may have to do a little planning because the allowance is NOT retroactive. Be sure to put your 2023 allowance in place before 2023. Call for help, if necessary.
